About the Monitor

The U.S.-China Perception Monitor (《中美印象》) is a bilingual platform of The Carter Center's China Focus program. It publishes original analysis, interviews, and translations on U.S.-China relations, and stewards the China Pulse survey of Chinese public opinion on international affairs.

Founded in the spirit of President Jimmy Carter's commitment to normalization and dialogue, the Monitor is independent and nonpartisan. It aims to widen the space for informed, evidence-based discussion between the two societies — in both English and Chinese.
